Beth Murray

I would like to give you some information about me. If you read something which resonates and you would like us to meet, I hope you will get in touch.
As a primary teacher I wanted to give children the opportunity to find the words to express how they were feeling and to encourage their self-confidence and the growth of their self-esteem. I wanted relationships, learning, and curiosity about life to be a positive experience.
I encouraged children to express their feelings and their needs, using the Non-Violent Communication approach, which is based on emotional literacy.
During a difficult period in my life I began therapy where I could talk, explore my emotions and begin to understand my self. I read ‘Psychosynthesis in Education’ by Diana Whitmore which helped me to look inwards deeply. Having experienced the enabling power of therapy to change, I trained in Psychosynthesis in London.
In counselling and psychotherapy I offer a gentle presence to support you to find your own path through ways which may previously have seemed limited or blocked. By creating an empathic space I hope each client has the opportunity for change.
Having worked for many years in a voluntary setting, I now see clients privately in Taunton, Somerset
I am a mother and a grandmother.
